I can't imagine why you would want to do that. It sounds like you want to keep the tree but don't want to deal with having the nuts on the ground. It'd be a shame to waste them. If you live near me, I'd be glad to come over and pick them up and take them away every year -- for free. And I'll bet you have neighbors who would be willing to do the same thing.

Another choice would be to tell the neighbor kids to touch those nuts, they are valuable. That will also make the nuts go away, hee, hee.
