I really would prefer a daughter. I relate better to women, and I think the clothes and toys available for little girls are just so super cute. I have even had a lot of problems getting pregnant (over 6 years of trying with no luck) so I think many people assume I will just be ecstatic with any pregnancy, which is probably true. But when it comes down to it, if I do get pregnant someday, if it is a girl baby I will be even happier.
Sounds like you really don't have a gender preference. That is good. But having a gender preference isn't that weird, and it isn't something that can be turned off. We all have different experiences growing up that form our minds. The important thing is that a parent learns to appreciate the baby's special qualities as an individual, and that has nothing to do with gender.

When we were expecting our first child, I made no bones about the fact I would prefer a boy. Why? Because, I was a boy, I can relate to what will happen to a boy. I can anticipate some of the challenges and some of the triumphs that will happen in his life.
Would I have been happy either way? Yes. A healthy child is all I needed.
When we were expecting our second child (my son was already here), I wanted a girl. Why? Because, I think there is a different kind of bond between a daughter and father than a son and father and I wanted to experience both.
What did we get? Just what I wanted in the order I wanted. How lucky can you get? I delivered both my children and have so far had and continue to have great relationships with them (now 13 and 15). I sometimes feel that its a cop out to say you have no preference. I had a preference, I made no big deal about it. If we had had two daughters or any other combination, I'd still be a proud pop.

My father in law has a theory that the mom subconciously knows what the baby is, and how she refers to the baby the first time, without really thinking, he or she, is what the baby is.... His theory played true with all his grandkids. He'd listen and quietly make a note of what we said. Then he showed us later! I didn't want to know if I had a boy or girl, (except for my youngest to settle the arguments about if it was a brother or sister) but I had a gut feeling my first was a boy, my second a girl. God gave me two boys and a girl and I was and am very happy with His choices.

My husband and I have a beautiful 2 year old girl. When we found out we were pregnant, both of us agreed we didn't care what it was, but a boy would be nice. In my family there is only 1 boy, and in my husband's family there are none. We are having a girl, so we are going to have 1 more, and if it's another girl, so be it.
Some families want a boy to carry on a family name, I think that's a legitimate desire. I kind of wanted a girl this time because I know what I'm doing with girls, and fear of the unknown is a scary thing.

Well, as a pregnant woman who has 3 daughters, we were hoping for a boy...hubby needs another male in the house. We would have been perfectly happy with a girl, but it's nice that we are having a boy.
It's just a preference...most men want a little boy that they can play sports with, take hunting/fishing, etc., and most women want girls so they can dress them up, and teach them girl stuff.

Even though some may have a preference, I'm sure 99.9% are very happy whatever. The problem comes when the fetus is aborted because its the "wrong" sex. Mostly in India and China and almost always girls. Thats the real tragedy.

Some people just want one or the other. I have a wonderful 3 year old son. I am almost 5 months pregnant and I am hoping that this one is a girl.

Well usually the women prefer to have girls and the men prefer to have boys. I guess its easier for people to have a baby that's the same gender as them because it makes it easier to relate to them and to care for them.

flow. Grace and fluidity. certain all of us like the 'resources,' yet each and all and sundry has them. that is the way you employ them that concerns. to furnish you a good representation, seem up historic clips of Lauren Bacall on Youtube. Watch how she strikes. There are females in Hollywood proper now who're as eye-catching, yet none come basically about her grace.
