If you have two congruent shapes, the corresponding sides are the sides that would line up if you place the shapes over each other.

Example: Triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DEF.
Side AB corresponds to side DE
Side BC corresponds to side ED
Side CA corresponds to side FD

Angles can also correspond in congruent shapes.

in two triangles ABC and DEF angles A and D are equal then the corresponding sides will be sides opposite to angles A ans D

sides that are facing each other that are the same length. if i remember correctly.
