Football (the type of football where you use your FEET to kick the BALL) is, without doubt, the most popular sport in the world. The World Cup is the most watched, the most discussed and the most obsessed about sporting event in the world (as far as excitment generated goes it pisses on the Olympics).
In the early 70's some guys did researh into fame. They went far and wide with photographs of people to see if they recognised them. Undiscovered tribes in the depths of the jungle would stare blank faced at pictures of the Pope, the President of the US, Picasso etc. Presented with a picture of Pele there response was: "Well that's Pele, obviously, now who are these other people you keep showing to us".

Football,... Well actually in the rest of the world, they call it football, but in fact its known in the states as Soccer.
Have you ever heard of something called the World Cup? It is totally separate from the Olympics. But every country in the world has a team representing them. Even the USA.
Why is it that the World Series only has Americans ONLY, no other country can participate. Then it isn't really a World Series, is it? Its totally discrimination. A lie.
Soccer is the answer to your question.

I guess the most popular sports are SOCCER and BASKETBALL. i mean the whole world plays these sports and theres tournaments all the time, and the world cup. Baseball isnt that popular, half the world doesn't know how to play it
