They had them in Ancient Greece. They were run by people called Sophists.

Philosophers don't like sophists because they teach people how to misuse reason for the sake of being a rat-racer, a pursuer of nothing but personal success in the market. It's a poverty-stricken way of seeing yourself.

Work to live, don't live to work.

I have been to a few. The one I liked the most was the Millionaire mind seminar that was done by T Harv Ecker. My wife thought it was a load of BS, but it gave me the courage to give up my job (which I hated) and start my own business (which I loved). Although I went back to working for someone else after that, I learned a lot from the experience and now I know that I can do it. It was worth it. The worst one I went to was the seminar by Russ Whitney and Associates. They claim to get you into the Real Estate investment world with little or no money down (that's because they nail you for your money for the seminars). If they ever approach you, don't do it. They are rip off artists and will spend most of the seminar trying to upsell you on their other courses. Overpriced and no real value at all (nothing you can't find in a $20 book).

Never been to one--most sound like the "personal success" refers to the people raking in the $$$. They'll get you all hyped up and use a lot of buzzwords, but don't really give you much in the way of actionable advice.
