for a formal occasion? and if you live any where near LA? down town LA.. the fashion district is a very good place to shop.. lots of stores/ variety and it's much less expensive.. plus many dresses at windsor and etc. are from these wholesalers. They sales to public for singles, not a whole sale, during weekends.
If you dont really care how much you spend, there are stores in the mall, not to mention bloomingdales, nordstrom etc.

Well, this question is really hard to answer with no info.
Where do you want to wear it? What do you look like (shape,hair/eye colour,best features)? How much can you spend? What kind of taste do you have (what do you like in a dress)? And most importantly, do you have shoes to go with it already or are you buying them after? Stupid question....
