It's important to remember that "swallow" describes several dozen different species of birds in the family Hirundinidae. As an example, though, the barn swallow flies at 11 m/s. It is unclear how much it would be slowed down if forced to cooperate with a second barn swallow to grasp the husk of a coconut.
