should i go for ABAP -SAP...plz help i am confused and depressed.!?

i have done B.tech in mechanical engineering and cad diploma in autocad, inventor,catia and also AUTOLISP PROGRAMMING from India.I don't have any work experience. I will be shifting to Canada within next three months(i have permanent resident visa).
now i wish to learn ABAP-SAP. please guide me whether i am doing right or i must continue with CAD softwares...
