I'm looking for a storage rack/shelf that I can lift with a pully system that can handle at least 120lbs.?

This one is sold through the Griot's catalog. I've never ordered from them, so I can't tell you if they're good or not. But the platform can hold 250 pounds. You would have to attach it to the ceiling joists, which are like the studs in your walls.

I have seen people make platforms out of ply wood for various things like model trains , whole towns , tracks the whole nine and lift them eight to ten feet with the right pulley system "counter balance" ply wood and studs cheap and easy
