YOU ARE AN ADULT! They're not going to tell your parents, it's none of their business. But, you do have to be an adult and be responsible. Do the right thing whatever you decide the right thing may be.

With the insurance we have, there is a website we can view where we can see every charge that has gone onto the insurance. If your parents have something like this with their insurance and they do view it, then they will see that you've been to the doctor. If that will be the case, then they can also find out what kind of doctor without anyone breaking the HIPPA laws.

Whatever you decide to do, you should see a doctor. I would suggest going to the campus wellness center then the campus chapel and then the local free clinic.

Good luck.

Nope, you're 18. You are a legal adult and they can't tell your parents without your permission. If they do so, you can sue the pants off them. Although if your parents get the bill they might wonder why you went to see a doc and for what. But if you pay, then there's no way they'd know. Maybe you should just go to Planned Parenthood. It's anonymous and they can help you with all kinds of pregnancy related questions, concerns, and decisions. Good luck honey, and don't be afraid, you'll be okay. =)

well, i suggest telling your parents immediately, you may not want to but you have to realize, they will have to know eventually, their initial reaction may be shock, but give them a few weeks they will come to terms with it, start looking for a dr near you, honestly ask your mother for advice, she has been there ( she had you remember) and i will bet she will be more helpful than you probably think. good luck and best wishes on your pregnancy, the sooner you talk to a dr the sooner you start prenatal vitamins:)

HIPAA says that they can't talk to your parents about your health, especially if you see a doctor at your campus health services
