One of the effects of alcohol is to dilate the blood vessels in your face, allowing more blood to flow to it.

The other more serious effects are the permanent destruction of brain cells (every drink kills a few thousand) and the potential long term effects on your liver.

because its bad for you... but seriously its because your flushed look is exactly that flushed you know when you become flushed so the same reasons you become flushed can usually be attributed to this happening to you when you drink an increase of circulation of the blood vessels closest to the surface of your skin is the cause or cold one of the two I would not drink though destroys brain cells
