I know there are some places in Carmel, 17-mile drive Pebble Beach, CA where you can go in a forrest and find Porcini Mushrooms.

Anyone knows exactly where it's at?

Thanks!

I'm looking for the places in the actual forest to go and find them myself.

All of the property in 17 mile drive is privately owned, and the people who live there probably won't appreciate some random person looking around their backyard for mushrooms.

Also, many people in CA have died from eating wild mushrooms that look like edible ones. Unless you are very experienced in mycology, just buy them at the store like everyone else.

Here's a recipe from one of the chefs at Carmel's Grasling's restaurant.
Hope this helps!

I cant remember the name of the store but is on Ocean Ave on a corner about 2 to 3 blocks from the park on Ocean Ave as you are heading down towards the beach.
