Why is Bush terrible? Let me count the ways:
1. Economy - In 2000 when Bush started his presidency, America was solvent. We had a budget surplus, thanks to Pres. Clinton. Our economy was strong and the dollar reigned supreme. Immediately upon taking office, Bush began giving tax breaks to the wealthy - the taxes he cut were "capital gains" and estate taxes - all of which benefit the rich, diminish the income of the US government and shift the burden to the middle class taxpayer. How? by cutting the amount given to the states which then increase local taxes to make up the difference. So property taxes go up.
The result is the greatest deficit in American History -- all in 6 years.
Recently, Republicans approved billions in tax cuts to the oil industry even though oil companies have had record profits -- that means after expenses are removed -- in the BILLIONS. An Exxon exec recently retired to the tune of $400 million dollars.
And who suffers so oil companies can give retirees $400 million dollars? Why the common man. Aid to schools and other social programs are being eliminated. The US dollar is weak against other currencies around the world. Try to travel in Europe. The exchange rate is really bad.
2. Social Security - Ever since Bush took office, he and the Republicans have been on a campaign to destroy Social Security. 401K type plan they want to replace it with would take every American's money and give it to the stock market without any guarantees that your money will be protected and that you won't lose the entire sum. There is also no guarantee that your money will grow or that you will be able to get back what you put in. So when you retire you could have nothing and be out on the street - once again destroying the middle class.
3. The War in Iraq. Pres. Clinton was interviewed (Larry King?) and said that he had been approached during his presidency to invade Iraq. He thought it was a crazy idea that would destablize the area. However, Cheney and Rumsfeld among others in the Bush administration are members of the Project for the New American Century, a neo-con organization which is behind the push to conquer Iraq, and which wanted to invade Iraq (the only secular, ie.modern, society in the whole middle east) since the first Gulf War -- even though there was no reason to. The 9/11 tradgedy was their excuse for doing what they wanted to do all along. However, even then they messed up and did not call upon all the experts waiting to volunteer their services -- they gave the money to the Pentagon and their cronies. Dare I mention that Haliburton where Cheney used to work is making money hand over fist in Iraq?
Furthermore, they didn't even listen to the army generals which said a larger force was needed in Iraq for success. They got them fired.
I honor the men and women who serve in our Armed Forces. But I don't honor Rumsfeld and Bush for not providing them with the proper equipment or enough fellow troops for safety, plus bungling the tactics of the Iraqui campaign on every score, and firing anyone who does not agree with them.
4. Environment - The Bush Administration irresponsibly changed the report of the scientist they appointed so that global warming seemed a theory instead of a fact. The Scientist resigned (he was on 60 minutes talking about it.) Bush is the first President to turn back environmental protections and literally attack the natural refuges.
5. Labor -- since Bush took office 3 million jobs have been lost. The jobs created in his administration are mostly "Wal-mart' type jobs, not middle management. Many middle class persons lost their jobs and their homes due to outsourcing, which the Bush administraiton made attractive to companies by giving tax breaks for doing it.
Bush also approved Labor Guidelines for people making the lowest incomes to not be elegible for overtime unless they work 5 more hours than they currently do. That impacts on the lives of the working poor.
Do I need to say more? Actions speak louder than words. The laws Mr. Bush has signed have had the effect of destroying the middle class, the economy and the environment and involving us in an expensive and never ending war in Iraq. I think that's terrible.

It is because of the media. They never portray anyone they don't like in a positive light. Look back to John F'ing Kerry. That man had skeletons in his closet having a party and the media wouldn't open the door. When the skeletons worked there own way out of the closet...the media tossed sheets on them....called them ghosts and ran them back to the closet.
It's all about agendas.
Right now and at the time of 9/11 we needed a President with the balls to stand up to the world and do what was right for the United States. We can sit here and debate WMD's all day...but ultimately Bush had Congressional Support from both sides of the isle to go into Iraq...and everyone had exactly the same information he did. After the fact, the Democrats are quick to back up and say, "Well, we just took W's word on it." Bullcrap!!! American's wanted blood for 9/11 and they got it.
There have been many mistakes in Afganastan and in Iraq, and I'm sure there will plenty more. What we aren't hearing about are more terrorist attacks in the United States. When was the last big one? 9/11!!!! Five years ago. Notice the media isn't saying, "Hooray for George W. for keeping our country terrorist free since 9/11!!!!"

The reason why PEOPLE should think he's a terrible president is because he's a paganist belonging to the Bohemian Grove club...that every year hold a ceremony in which they burn the effigy of a child in front of a giant statue of an owl named Moloch which could either represented as a Ram or owl..they chose owl...Because he's also a member of the Skulls and Bones which is League of the deaths head and its associated with Nazism....Because all the companies Bush's have ever headed have been largely kept afloat with Saudi money or Nazi gold in the BILLIONS...Because he STOLE the election from Al Gore...Because he's arrogant and not concerned at all with the rights of the people and only concerned with the contracts gained from the slaughter of them..All MAJOR contracts for weapons, federal buildings, uniforms for soldiers, Guns, Bullets....He shouldn't be thoughts of as TERRIBLE...he should be thought of as a traitor to this country just like his grandfather should have....

Why was the war needed? Bush is terrible, he abuses his power, lies to the American people and is a blatant jackass when conversing with other foreign leaders. He is not dignifed, knowledgable, respectable or even qualified for the job.He is petty and holds grudges. Its his way or no way.Alot of soldiers signed up before war time, because they come from impoverished areas and its the only way to not be a bum where they come from. The ones who signed up after 9-11 thought they were going to be fighting terrorism and going after the people who attacked our country.Well they are a few thousand miles from our attackers.Follow the timeline please.Bush wanted this war from the beginning. This war is about overthrowing Saddam because he was going to sell his oil, to Russia, China and France, (all countries that opposed) we need a pro US government set up in Iraq so we can get that oil.The only way Bush could have logically invaded Iraq was if 9-11 happened and he could dupe the American public into believing that Saddam Hussein was backing terrorism and was a threat to America. The lives of a few thousand Americans mean nothing to this administration so Yes I absolutely believe they would plan and execute 9-11.I think I could run this country. As far as Saddam Hussein giving money to Palestinian suicide bombers, that doesnt count. The Palestinians have been oppressed by Israel for over 50 years when they were kicked out of their homes and land by gun point under threat of death. The nation of Israel does not view Palestine as a legitimate country or people and want to exterminate all Arabs.

Dear tinkerbelle,
"The war was needed"
Why, please? What, if anything, do you know about the Middle East?
A "wrong mistake?" - are there "right mistakes?"
",yes, lots of people have died, and im not trying to sound horrible, but that is what they signed up for."
Dear, no one "signs up to die."
"I dont think any of the people who are complainig can run the country'
Why do you think that? Have you interviewed all of them? I'm complaining and I definitely think I could do a much better job than the current incumbent.

The point you have made is that you are an incredibly naive twit. What makes Bush SOOOO bad is that he as president, initiated an unjust war under false premises against an enemy he sold as the one who attacked us. It is a shame that after so many lies and deceptions, people like you still support what most of us know is a person who should by any measure be in a prison counting the number of times his cellmate rapes him.

I, for one, could care less about Bush in the beginning, but now I clearly see that he may have bad days too, and it is sometimes hard to run a country of millions of people with different views. I really like how he's promoting blacks to owning their own homes and businesses though.

I don't think he is soooo terrible....I think he and this administration is incompetent. Even if you sign up to the theory that the war was needed, the way it was handled ignored all of the expert advise of people who have have spent their career studying warfare or the middle-east.

Because he is a career criminal, who has tried to claim that his actions are beyond and above the law. He has claimed that neither the courts nor congress can limit what he is allowed to do.
And that is just one of many of his attempts at creating a fascist dictatorship. The fact that so many Americans are blindly following him over the cliff would be pathetic if it were so terrifying.
{EDIT to JohnnyBravo} Look at the history of foreign terrorist attacks on US soil. They occur in cycles about every 7-9 years, going back to the mid-1970s.

Dear Tinkie:
You sound like the kind of person who believes the moon is made of creamed-cheese.
Honey...get on your knees and pray for a reasonable portion of walking-around sense...because...it's painfully obvious that you are sorely lacking!
Sincerely,
