I recently took a family trip to South Africa and learned there that Rhino's cant swim. They never go in water above their neck, and the only reason they live in water is to keep themselves cool from the African sun.

Don't know about that, but rhinos do have an acute sense of smell. The TSA is experimenting with using rhinos to sniff out hazardous items in luggage.

They swim very well but getting them to float on their back is problematic.
