the garbage trucks collect garbage only once a week. Right now we just put daily garbage in the garage but it stinks up the whole place. We can't leave it outside because it'll surely attract flies. So is there any smart way to go about this?

when throwing away something smelly, put something not smelly on top, a box, newspaper, grocery bags, old clothes etc.

Use less trash, there are ways around the trash piling up so quickly. Have you tried gettting a garbage can that is air tight and had a lid so the smell won't escape? Other than that I would say you are outta luck♥

*Get an outdoor garbage can, and use a plastic bag inside of it.
*Only put paper things in it until pick-up day.
*Keep garbage food, frozen in the freezer, until pick-up day.
*Wash out all cans, before putting in garbage bag.
*On garbage day, add the frozen food items, to the paper items, and set the can out at the curb.
*If your timing is right on, the frozen items will not have melted, therefore no odor, and pesky critters.

Compost it, except for meat scraps. Freeze the meat scraps until garbage pick-up. If you have a garden area, bury the compostable material. Your plants will love you for it.
