We've never met and I've talked to him only a couple of times. It kills me because I have a very small family. Our father died when we were just kids. We grew up on opposite coasts. I sent him a picture of his newborn nephew about three years ago and never heard anything back. Should I just forget it or try one more time?

Sorry, he's my half brother.

Let me clarify, I have spoken with him five times over the phone in my life. He's a really good guy (or so he seemed). The last time that I spoke with him was six years ago and I was a mess. I've now tried calling his old phone number and it's disconnected. I can't find any new ones either. I'm not trying to fill any voids in my life, it's just that I have a brother that I have never met and that bothers me.

hey me being a guy, i would probably want u to contact me one more time, because somethin might have happened that he couldnt get back to u, and if he doesnt want to talk to u he wont, yu really dont have anything to lose.

Actually I have a question in here about my setp-brother and it is'nt pretty but if you do not know your 1/2 brother it's hard to say the right thing w/o knowing the whole situation however if it really means that much to you then you should but before you do let me say that even though you have a small family it is still a family and sometimes it's great the way it is and allthough your father died, that does not mean finding your brother will fill that void. Maybe you should find out what kind of person he is first before contacting him then I think you'll have a better idea of whether you should or not...Do a background check by calling his job and act like you are doing a reference check is a good start.. Good luck!

I think you should do more than a letter a photo and a phone call. I think you should find him and drop by and say hello. After that, it's up to him and you... Anyone who has a younger or older sibling knows of the bond between them... and how hard it can be to break...

I'd just forget him because it's pretty evident that he doesn't want a relationship with you. If you haven't seen him but a couple of timesyou really don't him, he may be a weirdo

If you are still thinking about him, then go ahead and try again. Otherwise, you will constantly be wondering.
