This is the rock howard jacket (4 cosplaying)

and it has this custom insignia on the back,

i bought a cheap imitation (black) leather jacketin hopes of painting it red and white and adding the insignia, but i dont know how to paint it(what paint to paint it with {cloths or accrilic}) or how to aplay it (my brush or by spray paint gun.) any one have any insight on the best way to do this?

I would (with my very little knowledge of the subject) try to use a quality aerosol deployed (aka spray paint) or air brush pigment with a non water base. You need something that will stick to the leather and not peel or flake off. Test what you have on a small portion of the jacket (like around the hem or under a collar) and when it dries try bending the leather. In places where there is going to be more movement (like around the seams), add a double coat. Good luck, and happy cosplaying! ^-^

There is special paint for fabric and leather at Michael's and Hobby Lobby.
They are also very nice about helping with advice in using their paints.
