I prefer a ford f-150 with an 8 ft bed. It can haul anything, full sheets of plywood or sheetrock, lots of furniture etc. If your stuff is too long it will tow a trailer. If you need more passenger space get one with a crew cab.

Any Subaru SUV is good. They are almost maintenance-free, environmentally friendly and get great gas mileage. I have a Forester and a Outback and have had no major problems with either. The prices are right, too. Have fun!

A cast iron one... they are much cheaper on gas... lol. Really though, I'm a Ford lover and I have one and I love it a lot, regardless of the gas cost. I feel safe in it.
