I have had a recurring dream over the past six or so years. It involves Juneau, Alaska, where I used to live in middle school. In this dream, I find myself in Juneau, and I am racing through the town to see the Mendehall Glacier (I used to be able to see this from my home). In the dream, the sun has almost set, and I am trying to hurry up so I can get a glance at it. Last night I had the dream, and I got to see the glacier, although it was almost dark.
I know recurring dreams are significant, but I have NO clue what the glacier might symbolize, or why it is so important to see it in this dream. Any ideas? Thanks.

Glaciers = collections of worries
Sun has almost set = your feeling about time management
In your case, you probably have lots of worries and discomfort about things you can't and don't achieve on time. You may be a person who is very punctual and are very good in time management. In other words, you want things to be precise. Dreaming of glaciers could mean something related to your personality. You projected the sun almost set and you are trying to hurry up for the glaciers. That means you have clouds of worries and this has something to do with things you want to do it on time
Having this recurring dream means you constantly have worries about things are not done the way you want to be especially at precise time.

Hi! I am definitely no expert, but it seems to me that your recurrent dream symbolizes memories fading with time. Because you went to middle school in Juneau and saw the Mendehall Glacier on a daily basis, this is a very special place to your subconscious, filled with memories, dreams, and hopes from your formative middle school years. The fact that you are racing through the town, desperate to see the Glacier before the sun sets is symbolic of your subconscious' attachment to your memories of Juneau. Your mind does not want these memories to fade away, and it expresses this in images of the setting sun (sort of like a darkness that covers your memories, making them hard to recall and/or see) and also through the way you are continually racing through your former town, running back to your home to see one last glimpse of the beautiful Glacier.
Although this is purely my hypothesis, I think your subconscious wants you to know how important your years in Juneau were to make you the person you are now, and does not want these memories to ever fade from your mind. This is probably why you have been having this dream over and over for the past six years.

Could signify some obtainable goal you're in a rush to meet...
But, really, dream interpretation symbols mean different things to different people....What do you think about the glacier (in your waking life)...and how do you feel about rushing and hurrying? The sun nearly setting may have to do with meeting a deadline or something similar

I think you miss your old home and being able to see the glacier. You have a bond with it. Is there someone you miss from there, someone you explored the glacier with?
You are trying to reconnect with someone. If you can go back there for a visit and catch up with old friends.

The glacier might represent you goals. And to reach to them before time runs out (sun setting)

Go may be telling you that you was so lucky to see a glacier in your life because soon they will no longer be here since they are all melting.

Life is changing and you may have some basic beliefs being challenged right now. You may be looking for reassurance that what you've held on to so tightly is still in place no matter how much your perspective seems to be evolving.
