I am continuously impressed with the jury deliberation dynamic. it is amazing to see such diverse people discussing and analysing the evidence submitted to them and applying the laws as the judge has instructed them all in an attempt to reach that unanimous verdict. My work has allowed me to sit in on many juries during their deliberations, and it is a fascinating and very impressive thing to see.

Actually, I've been in the same community for over 8 years and have never received a summons to serve on a jury. I'm from a small town that has the County Courthouse in it. When I am downtown during the day (around lunch) I see the jurors walking to get lunch all the time. With five large courtrooms being filled all day long.....I'd think I'd make the list at least once in eight years. My wife got selected to jury and enjoyed the experience.

ITS NOT PERFECT- but it beats all other systems. On average, a jury will doo the right thing, even if its not for the right reason- Judges are political and can be more unfair.
Ive sat on juys, its amazing- oh yeah, no one want to spend the time burt if you have your own case you're sure glad it exists.

no i think its stupid..... the govt should just hire a different group of people with different qualities, the same as when you go it for jury duty.... because not everyone has the time or money to waste a whole day for stupid crap like that. theres no reason to sit there for hours, waste a whole day of pay, just so they can tell you to go home. i find it rude and very uneffective.
