I have a vocab list for my Adv. English class and I can't find some of the words. I'm not lazy and I'm not posting this just to get the answer... I really DO need help and I can't find it anywhere.
If anyone knows what they mean and could use them in a sentence, I'd really apperciate it. Thanks!

land-lust means greed for possessing more and more land
repression means act of forcible subjugation
solemnly means sincerely,in earnestness
diametrically opposed means as unlike as possible,totally opposite
faction means group
smirched means dishonour,defame

solemnly: in a grave and sedate manner; "the judge sat there solemnly"
(did you mean diamtrically opposed?):Two points directly opposite each other on a circle or sphere. More formally, two points are diametrically opposed if they are on opposite ends of a diameter.
faction: An association of individuals organized for the purpose of influencing government actions favourable to their interests, now known as interest groups.

These words can be easily found in the dictionary! How about punching these words into the computer and seeing what you get! It is not fair to yourself if others do your work!
