1. The Zeroes

2. The Two Thousands (2000's) - Seems obvious when you think about it, and I have seen it used in some places already, but not exactly the most mathematically sound, since technically the years 2000-2999 could all be called the 2000's as well.
The Ohs (0's) - Nice short and simple, has a bit of a street slang quality to it. May take hold better after this decade is over, like "Hey remember back in the Ohs when the only thing we worried about was insane terrorists? Life was a lot simpler back in the Ohs."
The Zeros - Not quite as cool sounding but at least it is accurate. May take hold better in the future as well as in: "Look at that woman in the super low jeans, she is so stuck in the zeros."
The Oughts - This seems to be the popular way that people who lived in the 1900's refer to that decade. "The Spanish American War ended about ought-two" could easily change to "Brittany Spears career ended about ought-two"
The Naughts - Sticking with the 0's theme it might seem more appropriate to call this decade the Naught decade, a good pun on the "Not" decade, which is appropriate considering how badly this decade has gone so far. Or better yet - the Naughties.
The Oh-Ohs (00's) - A better pun than even "The Naughts". This one is my favorite.
"The Turn of the Century/Millennium" - This is another borrowed from the 1900's. It is pretty much a give that any late 20th century author who used the phrase "Back around the turn of the century", they were referring to some time between 1900 and 1910. Some convention like this could eventually become popular.
The (insert adjective or noun) Decade - Sometimes people refer to the 70's as the "Me" decade, and pretty much everyone understands what that means. Maybe someone will coin a good phrase that sums up this decade, and it will gain popular use. "The Terrorism Decade" seems obvious, but it is too dull and sad to really catch on. Between the tight security at airports and government buildings, the trade in personal information, the decline in privacy, the increase in corporate spying on their own employees, I am kind of inclined to offer "The Cavity Search Decade" as a suggestion. It is still too early in the decade to really decide on a definitive description.

By the way, would you PLEASE stop using an apostrophe for the decades as you did above? Apostrophes are used for contractions and to show possession. When you wrote
" We had the 70s, the 80s and the 90s . . ."
You are using only a plural.

" In contrast to the decades from 1920 to 1999, which are called "The Twenties," "The Thirties" and the like, the '00s have had no universally-accepted name. Some refer to the decade as "The Two Thousands", but many find that usage awkward and incorrect for a number of reasons, most notably the fact that, formally, the "Two Thousands" (that is, years whose spoken name begins with the words "two thousand") will last for a thousand years and not just the ten years of the "00" decade. Written in numeral form, the decade can be written either as the "2000s" or as the "'00s". But looking for a name that has the same "feel" as 'The Nineties' or 'The Fifties' has been problematic, especially in the United States.

In the rest of the English-speaking world "The Noughties" and "The Noughts" have come to be the most widely recognized and accepted terms.[2] The term "Noughties" has been adopted by the BBC,[3] and while the term may not be quite universal, there is no other term so widely recognized. Probably the only reason that the term "Noughties" has not been completely accepted world wide is the fact that, in the United States (where usage of "naught" or "nought" to mean 'zero' has never been ubiquitous), there is some confusion by those who assume erroneously that the term has something to do with the adjective "naughty". this form of question sucks for everybody who's in any respect into music. choosing a "well-liked" album for any given DAY is impossible, not to point a decade. i will basically supply you the respond for this actual minute: 60's: The Beatles "Abbey highway" 70's: David Bowie "Ziggy Stardust" 80's: Judas Priest "British metallic" ninety's: Nirvana "Nevermind"

We refer to the years 1900 thru 1910 as the turn of the century, so I suppose when this decade is done people will refer to it as the turn of the millennium. Just a guess.
