THis goes back to the history of how India and Pakistan were formed when the British left that colonial area in 1945 - quite a bit of heartache was stirred, and masses of population were displaced.

Hi Lady, Perception seems to be incorrect here.
Not all indians hate pakistanis and not all pakistanis hate indians
Please visit places like Bahrain, U.K and others where even if there are pakistanis and indians living together still they do not hate each other the way you think
Unfortunately most of the indians do not interact with pakistanis and vice versa.
Nowadays we even have artists from pakistani coming in india and having a fanclub (just an example)
I think the question could be rephrased as: why indians not like pakistanis and vice versa

During the separation there were many massacres and many were slaughtered simply because of religion. More than two million died and like the second world war it's recent history. Both countries are starting to move forward now and with time they will learn that what happened then is not the fault of the children of today nor their children. As democracy (and prosperity) spread there will be more inter-dependence, not only in that region, but globally.

Hatred is easy to sow and reap.Actually, muslims participation in the freedom movement was more in proportion. It is the wicked british design that spilled hatred by creating riots so that they could divide the unity of the mass movement. They knew that hatred from one section would be reciprocated and compounded.
I observe that pakistan chose to keep this hatred alive - (she initiated 3 wars) and takes stand against india all the time ruthlessly. I dont endorse the view that only politicians promote hatered and masses dont, for the masses elect the politicians. Why dont they reject those who promote hatered.
Living the past will do no good. But for psychologically charged people, resisting is difficult.

Ur wrong.Indians dont hate pakistanis.Nor pakistanis hate I ndians.It is the political game of leaders for survival.These leaders ensure some thing or other against each contoury is burning all the time to keep the game going

Not all pakis hate Indians, neither all Indians hate Pakis. This is only a rumour, which is false to big extent.
A hindu is in practise of bowing their head to GOD everywhere. They can even bow to a mosque , thinking this also is a place of GOD, may be for a diff sect, but they all r made by Him only. So how do we hate someone. Off course there are sum differences, which may be solved or ignored. Else pak is born from Indian Mainland only. So they are also from one of us . So how do we hate them. & so do they.

It's the mentality of the people but do really INDIANS & PAK's HATE or LOVE each other . We all are Humans and not animals. IT's the Politicians & EXTREMISTS who misguide the citizens of both the countries & make caos. WE need to change the MENTALITY.
