My son and daughter and most of their friends use limewire, they think that's the best free mp3 download site around so far. Bearshare is used by very few of the people they know. Hope this helps.

I know this isn't a great way to get music, but itunes has two or three free downloads every tuesday. Free is free. I got Daniel Powter and Michael Blunt for free months before I got to hear them on the radio. Not all the freebies are that great, though.

they have mp3s in different languages like spanish, english and arabic.
its a forum, you basically request the songs and they are uploaded for you :) And its free.... no addware or anything like programs like limewire (you have to make an accoutn with a screename and password only once, then you can use that everytime you need to download music.)
I feel the need to stress this point again... ITS FREEEEE

bearshare is good and so is limewire. they both have pros and cons so anyone of them is ok to use.
