Yes...it is idiots who ask the dumb questions...no one is truly stupid. Just ignorant. And shame on the person who said they should say your question qualifies as "stupid"

Contrary to popular belief, there are such things as stupid questions, asked mainly by idiots. These usually occur when inconsiderate students aren't paying attention to a lecture and ask something that directly pertains to something that was just explained.

Yes, there are stupid questions.

If someone asks you about something you *just* explained (i.e. they weren't paying attention) that would be stupid question.

Of course, sometimes idiots and stupid questions go hand in hand, while other times they don't.
