Anyone who thinks our criminal justice system works must have lots of money. Just ask anyone who has tried to fight city hall, so to speak. Justice seems to come to those who can "pay" for it. That's a shame but true!

Need's a lot of improvements. There is no equality under the law. e.g. A black labourer in Alabama charged with killing a white women as opposed to O.J. Simpson. Some ordinary solder deserts as opposed to Geo.W.Bush. Some young guy has a car accident where a girl is killed and he leaves the scene of the accident and doesn't report it until the next day as opposed to Sen. Ted Kennedy. Now you tell me if you think your Justice System is working?????? If for no other reason Capital Punishment should be abolished in your country as it has been in all civilized nations. And that includes Cuba.

I think it can stand to have some improvement. For instance, when somebody is put on trial, he/she is to hear his/her case in front of a jury of his/her peers, but rarely does that happen. Most people shun the idea of jury duty because it means missing work and usually not being compensated by their employers, while the courts don't come close to compensating what they would be making otherwise. Jury duty is almost like punishment!
Remember OJ Simpson? He is a college graduate, but the highest level of education held by a jury member in his case was a high school diploma.

interior the case of drug addicts, or the mentally sick, rehabilitation is the main needed area of the criminal technique, actually. they'll in basic terms reoffend without suggestions from the equipment. concentrated on the undertaking on the source is optimal, and addicts will elect help and help, no longer punishment. in spite of the undeniable fact that, commonly, I see no would desire to rehabilitate a superbly sane rapist or murderer. Thieves, rapists and murderers would desire to be punished. further and extra criminals admit that penitentiary in simple terms isn't a deterrent. They get Sky+, 3 food an afternoon, and a hug on the tip. So i think of punishment is the main needed area of criminal justice. The justice equipment is there to get justice for human beings, and the relatives of a homicide sufferer do no longer elect to make certain the murderer having a grand previous time whilst their relatives member lies lifeless. yet interior the specific circumstances of those suffering with drug addictions, there is particularly no element in punishing them without adequate rehabilition.

It is in need of repair. There are so many people who are wrongfully accused of crimes that they didn't commit that it is getting scarier and scarier. This is ruining people's lives, the ones who are innocent.

They change evidence to make someone look guilty, the falsify documents to create a case against someone who is innocent. I mean it is awful...

There is even a group of lawyers in New York who handle wrongfully accused cases, and that is all that they do. They are so back logged that they said on Discovery Channel when they were interview about these cases, that they have enough work on their desk for 10 years of work. Now that is F&*Ked up..

There is no perfect system. I think ours works as well as any other out there. But as with all systems there are flaws and you can only hope to correct them as best you can.

The real kink in the system is that the people who work in it aren't perfect.
