The "catch" to getting an old printer for free is, that you'll still have to buy the ink cartidges for it.

Which is from about $40 to $50 or so.

I see weekly ads in the Sunday paper for printers costing that much, if not LESS.... and they come with the cartridges!

IF you have a BIG LOTS store in your area I saw a basic HP printer for $26.00,

I purchased a new Canon which was cheaper than the replacement ink cartridges for my Xerox. Manufacturers seem to discount the printers and charge a premium on the cartridges.

I recommend you buy a new printer.

I have a practically new DELL all in one printer/fax/scanner that is in the garage collecting dust.

I got a room full, if you wanna pay the shipping, they cost about 20 bucks apeice, then you have to buy new ink for them, and you could have gotten a new one for less

I haven't sorry but have a look on eBay you can sometimes pick them up dead cheap.
