i'm loged on as adm. I can see the two computers. but can't open the other cpu.from either one

then you are not assigned administrator rights. you need to make changes under and administrator account.

Have you shared any files or folders on the computers? If not, the default share is //computer_name/c$ (where computer_name is the name you assigned to the computer you want to access). On Windows XP this share will only work if guest access is enabled (with or without a password).

make sure you have both computers set to file sharing on, and you have adm rights to access those files
