I have an EPSON Stylus Photo printer R300 and until I reinstalled the software on my new laptop it was great. Since installing it onto the new laptop, any photos I print are coming out really dark - much darker than the actual photos on the screen. However, if I insert my memory card directly into the printer and print that way, the photos are fine and are the correct colour.
I've tried re-installing the software again, but nothing seems to make a difference. Can someone please advise me on how to get brighter pictures?

I've looked at updating drivers on Epson website but there are so many to choose from I don't know where to begin. My new laptop is using Windows XP - would that make a difference?
