Tell her hey I know you like garlic but you have the room completely rank with it, can you please give me a break? Good luck.

I went to an optometrist one time that had the same problem. As he approached to look into my eyes, I nearly fell out of the chair. It was not a good experience. Although he did give me a good checkup and sound advice, I could not go back to him again.
I was relieved that I had other options. But, often pondered the dilemma you are faced with. I never came to any sort of solution in my mind but didn't have to either.
Depending upon how close you are with her, you might risk offending her but just tell her she has a problem. Or, offer her some tic tacks or breath mints occasionally. Or, leave your mouthwash out and available for her use, and your relief.
Good luck

Maybe she's trying to keep the vampires away..... Unfortunately, it's an 'internal' thing - it's the healing power of garlic - actually one of the best things you can eat. Best thing is to eat garlic too - then she won't smell. Friends eat garlic together, as do 'couples'.....

Ask her politely what kind of food she has been eating....she'll tell you and then ask how it's made. When she mentions garlic, you could say " oh, maybe that's why the smell of garlic is strong in the room sometimes...".

Hi-the quickest way to get rid of somebody elses garlic smells is to eat some yourself
A burning candle will also help absorb smells and odours

Go out and buy parsley, have it washed and out on the counter. Extoll it's health qualities ( lots of B vitamins) and eat a sprig of it in front of her. Tell her to help herself. Then just mention it helps to get rid of bad breath after eating.

Air freshener
Plug-ins
Scented candles
Body wash for the skin.
Breath mints or mouthwash for her mouth.
Regardless she will be offended if you say something. Is she good with paying the rent? Then you could overlook it or just find another roommate.

By all means tell her. She probably has no idea and would be embarrassed to know that she is offending you. Just be honest and as sensitive as you can be. Good luck
