Did you type in the pin number that's usually located in the pamphlet you get with it? Also, batteries would help if you haven't done that yet.

Change the batteries. Reset the program codes. Check to make sure it is not the television. Make sure nothing is blocking the sensor on the set. If nothing works take out the batteries for a day and try again. Worse comes to worst, get a new one but not until you eliminate the television as the source of your problem. Does it work on one device and not the other? That would be a clue on that point. If neither works then it is the remote and most likely someone reprogrammed it for you accidentally.

You can either contact Toshiba by email to try to get another one or buy a universal remote that will work with almost every type of TV, DVD or VCR. Good luck. Hope the answer helps!

If you want to make sure it does not work, then get a Video camera. Record the little bulb that transmitts the frequency...while recording, press the buttons and then play it back. While playing it back, then you will see the flashing if it IS working or nothing will happen if it is NOT working. Or just buy a Universal control that you can progam to control many devices, including the ones you mentioned above

Did you pull the plastic tab on the bottom to start the battery. If so you probably should take it back and exchange it before the warranty runs out

check the batteries. so many people i know have done that. if thats not it, just return it. easier to do than try to fix it yourself. unless you're one of those types who loves to make work for yourself.
