Your income will depend on building a loyal, solid clientele...People who won't up and leave you when a new salon opens up. If you do only 5 heads a day at $75 per head for example, that's an easy $375 for one days work. It takes some people one week to net that amount. You no doubt will do more than 5 heads a day and people get different styles so you will most likely make more than that. It's possible to make your booth rent in one days work also. Try to learn more intricate hairstyles and get some professional clients, i.e., newscasters/journalists, teachers, doctors/nurses, etc...People who must look good on a daily basis who will keep coming back every few days or weekly. Learning natural hair care styles and upkeep and hairweaving techniques such as Fusion will definitely help you rake in the cash flow as well. Good luck!

How Much Do Cosmetologist Make

Just look around at some of the Cosmetologists in your area. What materials things do they own from working at that profession? It is my personal opinion, unless you just simply love working on hair, that you find another profession. Now, if you live in NY or CA., it's a possibility you could make a decent living. How about getting a higher education if possible, and set your sights high, high, high.

Back in the Jeri curl days, my sister could net $500 in two days...and that was way back then. Look at what people are doing with their hair now...I mean, weaves, braids, tracks...you could net quite a bit but then you'll have booth rent, supply purchases...still, once you've established your clientele, you can net a nice dime or two...good luck!
