Anyway, 50, but some people think Puerto Rico might join us one day, or that California might be separated from America by an earthquake. The number of states is represented by the stars on the flag, and the 13 original colonies is represented by stripes. The colors on the flag have special meanings, white signifying purity and innocence, red signifying hardiness and valour, blue signifying viligence, perseverence ,and justice.

Hmmm, I was hoping you were from another country but my guess is your a product of our public schools. I was Born in New Mexico(USA). You wouldn't believe how many Idiots ask me what the difference Between Mexico and New Mexico is. I have been asked did I need a green card to visit the states. Where did I go to change in my Pesos when I left New Mexico. Was it hard getting used to driving on the right side of the Road (damn idiot thought New Mexico was a part of England I guess).

whenever u get confuse simple count down the no of stars on the flag of US we u land up with the correct answer that is 50.
also 4 yr kind information there were 13 strips on that flag which denotes the no of previous States.
