She could do two things: look at the title document that says she owns the trailer, or go to her local court house and get a copy of the title which will show the vin number. Tell her to bring photo id and in some cases a utility bill proving she lives there.

It's normall stamped on a small plate somewhere on the trailer chassis along with the gross weight it should carry.

It should be on the title, and the insurance paperwork, if there is a loan it's on that paperwork also. The finance co. or ins. co could look it up for her. The only other way would be find it on the home or the state dept. of motor vehicles

look on the tongue of the trailer....its on the front...its the thing that hooks onto the truck that pulled it there...usually they disconnect the tongue from the trailer if is permanently going to stay,and then shove the tongue part under the mobile home. the tongue is in the shape of a large vee.....look on the arm of that it will be there.....
