That everyone gets their feelings hurt when you point out the fact that whores (as in pregnant single teens) get special treatment? (as in being offered GED tests and such) but then you're the one told to "grow up" when you state that it'd be a good idea to let the smart kids take it and bypass highschool? (There really are kids that'd do better not going to highschool because it's pointless for them, and I'm not speaking of myself, so just f*ck off.) And am I the only one who thinks that if you sleep around and are to stupid to go get free birth control from the community hospital, you're a stupid whore? I mean really...
Ok...I just asked a question somewhere else about why the GED isn't available to the smart kids but it is to dumb whores...I got bitched at for this and that, and told to "go back to school" and that I'm the stupid one. Will someone just tell me that they understand the fact that the school system and society has gotten way too lovey-dovey about the stupid kids?

By the way people, go do some research...Most places, the GED test is only available to people 18+ or if their class has already graduated highschool. And some of us don't want to be lawyers and doctors, so we don't need to get into some huge university. And most colleges and tech school will accept a GED. It's all about who has the money to pay...

Actually, they're people who made some bad decisions. And from the standpoint of someone who pays taxes, I'd rather spend the money on GED tests than shelling out an eternity of welfare payments. At least if the person has the GED, there's a chance that they'll be able to get a job and not be a constant drain on the country's resources.
The problem with bypassing high school is that employers don't give equal weight to the GED and an actual diploma. A diploma tends to carry more status than the equivalent.
I know it looks as if the system isn't fair to people who work hard, make good choices, and earn what they have. But in some cases, it seems to me like we just have to make the best of a bad situation so that it doesn't end up costing us more down the line.

I see what you are saying. I do not agree with you, because even the most intelligent people can make stupid mistakes! And I would imagine the reason you got bitched at is because you called people stupid whores.
If you want to bypass school, meaning also that you will miss out on the fun stuff too! All you need to do is quit! Then you can take a GED, and move on with your life. Of course you will loose out on the opportunity of scholarships, because you have a good gpa!
Maybe you should look at things from the "stupid whores" point of view for just a moment. I mean, a 16 yr old girl, let her horny bf talk her int to having sex with him, and she got pregnant. Now he wont have any thing to do with her and she is stuck raising a kid on her own, she had to quit school, lost her scholarship, she had a 4.0. She lost most of her friends, can't go to prom.
Try wording things a little nicer and you won't get bitched at so much.
Don't be so angery..

They probably get cut some slack because if they don't get a diploma or GED they won't get a decent job. There by creating a need for the general public to possibly have to subsidize there expenses. It seems you have an issue with these "whores" as you call them. Be grateful you have the sense not to be in their shoes. Let it go. You will be happier.

Point in fact, the GED is available to anyone. Or at least, it's available to anyone sixteen or older in my area, and I would be very surprised to find out that it wasn't available to anyone anywhere.
And you probably got bitched at because you're not playing nicely with others. You have your opinion, they have theirs. For example, in my opinion, a girl is not a "stupid whore" just because she does not take advantage of free birth control and gets pregnant. Furthermore, these kids have a very hard road ahead of them, and giving them the help they need is not "too lovey-dovey," it's being sympathetic to their circumstances. If you don't want to be bitched at, you would do well to state your opinion in a non-aggressive manner.

GED's are a token. A diploma has much more stature to future employers or universities. And a little kindness to "stupid whores" will only make us all better people.

While your question has some validity to it your ATTITUDE is what's getting you the static. Clean up your attitude. You can draw more flies with honey than vinegar!
Yes, the school system is a DISASTER from Hades! I suggest you get ahold of your representative politicians all the way from School Board to Congress and voice your concerns.... NICELY!!!!
