Truth is when someone finally confesses to another. Truth is when the terrible fate of a man is revealed to him. Truth hurts, and truth helps. Sometimes the truth is accepting with warm arms and loved, and sometimes the truth is hated and resented. What is truth you ask? Where does the truth end and the lies begin? The origin of this dilemma is God. God is said to have created man, but then who created God?

1. the true or actual state of a matter: He tried to find out the truth.
2. conformity with fact or reality; verity: the truth of a statement.
3. a verified or indisputable fact, proposition, principle, or the like: mathematical truths.
4. the state or character of being true.
5. actuality or actual existence.
6. an obvious or accepted fact; truism; platitude.
7. honesty; integrity; truthfulness.
8. (often initial capital letter) ideal or fundamental reality apart from and transcending perceived experience: the basic truths of life.
9. agreement with a standard or original.
10. accuracy, as of position or adjustment.
What is truth? That is a question I have found myself to be pondering more and more; the resolution to God is the answer to this question: Where does the truth end and the lies begin?

Pontius Pilate asked the same question after condemning Jesus Christ. he then washed his hands...

Truth is the absolute reality, the full face of what is, without a mask or covering.

"Truth is beauty, beauty truth" (?)

Unconditional LOVE is truth, for there is nothing there, then that can be false. Truth is purity and truth is ugly, and truth is all there ever is nd ever will be.

The fact that you are experiencing is for sure the truth. Interpretations and speculations about what it means are interpretations and speculations. Words can be about truth, but are never truth.

personal? obvious. universal or absolute? I believe that the question is just about unanswerable. One of my dictionaries lists one definition of truth as "reality," yet I believe that "reality" is just an matter of individual and consensus perceptions. I.e. the "reality" of a flat world is a great example of truth gone untruth. :) Perhaps it's fair to say that I believe that there are few (if any) absolute truths, and consensus truth is subject to update as is personal truth. Therfore, what is truth? - perception!?!
P.S. Matter = slow energy; energy = ???

Truth is a reflection of a shared, perceived reality.

This is why there are multiple truths.
