Enfamil is not a soy formula, neither is Similac unless you buy the soy kinds of either. Mixing the formulas, like a bit of one and a bit of the other? Is that what you were referring to, or feeding baby Enfamil for breakfast, and then feeding her Similac for lunch? To tell you the truth, either way won't really matter for baby's health. It can upset her stomach though if she's used to one brand and not the other. When my oldest was a baby the local store ran out of Enfamil and I had to buy a can of Similac. (I live in a small town.) He didn't care for it at first, but it didn't harm him, and it didn't make him sick. Two days later the store's Enfamil was restocked, I switched him back, he didn't seem to mind, and he was no worse for wear. Hope that helps. =)

I don't think that it will harm baby. However if you are experienced mom and i am . Simailac is a thicker formula. I would compare it to flour. Where enfamil is thinner like baking soda so mixing it probably is providing the nutrients that baby needs. I would say if it is just one time to get rid of one of them it would be fine However i would not do it on a regularly.

No, I don't see the harm in it. They are both formulas, just different brands.

And Enfamil is not soy formula to whoever posted that.

Also, we switch back in forth from enfamil, nestle goodstart, and generic brand formulas and it never upsets my daughters stomach. And shes only 3 months.

It can be harmful if your baby doesn't tolerate one or the other very well, so you should never mix them unless you know that neither of them will make the baby sick.

Otherwise, it's not harmful at all to do it occasionally, but it can mess up your baby's diet if you are constantly switching back and forth.

I don't think it's harmful but mixing might cause a little stomach upset, especially is the baby isn't used to one of the formulas. Check with your peditrician.

uh yeah...enfamil ,if im not mistaken, is a soy formula....either way why would you want to mix 2 different formulas and possibly upset your babies tummy since they are used to only one of them?

No - it won't hurt the baby at all, but some babies "tolerate" one formula better than others or get used to the taste.
