If you consider yourself a (type C). You don't want a jack russel. They are super high energy busy, busy dogs, they slow down a little when they are about 10. My last three dogs have been Pit Bulls. They are not fighters or killers(well maybe an occasional squirrel) they are just like many other breeds. They are what you put into them.I love the breed and can't imagine having anything else. Important considerations in picking a dog. 1) size, what do you drive/do you have a good yard.2) energy level, dogs are not happy unless well exercised, the more energetic a breed the more you have to walk/run/play w/them for their sanity.3) coat, short haired dogs require far less grooming maintenance than long or med. coated dogs(shedding etc.) Back to the Pit Bull, moderate to high energy as pups and young adults will mellow a bit around 3. Fun loving and playful wrestle ball tug etc.Tough and versatile home park camping boating.( they can do about anything.) The only - I can even think of is a slight tendency for Dog_-Dog aggression which can be prevented by proper and early socialization.
