I am at work extremely bored. I am tired of asking, answering and discovering on Yahoo. It is extremely quiet here and I have another 5 hours to go. It seems like I have surfed to the end of the internet. Any suggestions on what I could do to occupy my time.
Thanks in advance.

I work in IS Support for a hospital. I have completed all of my projects. We have 14 hospitals and other outpatient facilities. I guess all the hardware/software is working okay across the board. No one is calling. I just put the crossword book down. It is making me sleepy. Solitaire is okay but it too is making my eyes burn. Thanks though for the suggestions.

I would rather put some music on n if situation permits, groove to the beat or take a nice hot coffee n luk out of the window. U can always find something interesting when u luk at the world form a distance( plus the caffeine does wonders for the mood). Try it...

Read a book, that will pass the time. Or work a crossword puzzle or a word find. I hope this helps.

What kind of work do you do that gives you that much time to waste, and not doing the work you're being paid to do?

I don't know of very many companies that pay their employees to surf the net for much of the day.

Grab your credit card and start shopping, it's amazing how time flies when you shop.
Start text-messaging everyone or call them.
Write an essay on how stressful work can be and how boring it can be.
Call your mother-in-law and invite her over (not really recommended)
Hire services and cancel them in the act.
Call AOL and bug them with technical problems you don't really have.

Check out Project Gutenberg, a collection of classic literature that has expired copyright. You can find many great books here if you look.

You might try and find a copy of your job description and see if there is any thing in there that interests you. I know your boss would be tickled pink.
