Run like your panties are on fire. Why are you with somebody like this. This is crazy. Get away from this guy and find someone that will love and respect you. This guy is treating you like his poontang slave.

The key words here are "let." He has no right to tell you what you can and cannot do: that's called being controlling. Do you like being controlled and/or dominated? If so, then just do what he says. If you have your own mind, will, and assertiveness, then do whatever the heck you want. Even if you're married, the man isn't the "boss" anymore, as far as I'm concerned. That idea went out a long time ago. You are his equal. You might want to think about why you are in such a relationship and whether it's worth it to stay with someone who is keeping you down.

You will not ever reach your own true potential unless you realize that you have rights, too, and that being with a man like this is only going to keep you from achieving all that you can in life.

To be honest, if I ever had a boyfriend like that - and I doubt I would - I'd drop him instantly. I can't be with someone who can't love me without owning me, can't trust me without supervising me, and can't respect me without restricting me.

I mean, I want a partner...not a psychotic (and absent!) landlord.

It shouldn't be about him "letting" you go out, or not go out - these are things you should be able to choose for yourself. You shouldn't need his permission to live your life...especially when he clearly doesn't feel the same obligation to you.

Cut and run...if you're the woman in this case, you deserve better. And if you're the man, you deserve therapy (honestly, it'll help you cope with the control issues).

Don't ever let a man tell you what you can or can not do. By the way, if he is out all night, how would he know if you left?

I would let him go, and stay gone. Left out the driveway, and keep on going back to where he came from.

If he wants to spend time with his friends, I see nothing wrong with that, but if he tries to tell me I can't go or I can't do something on my own, then it's time to part ways. don't want to be in a relationship where my time is controlled by someone else. My husband and I spend 90% of our time with each other, but on occasion when I want to have a GNO he tells me to have a great time. If he wants to go out with the guys, so be it. If going out with the guys was a regular ritiual I might not feel so generous.

Is this a joke? Unless you are within the confines of HM Prison system you should be going wherever you like. You do not need "your man's" permission.

Find a man another man. Hopefully one that respects you and wants to be seen with you and lost when you aren't around.
