There are so many to say but u asked most common reason i feel there are 2 common reason
1. Misunderstanding
2.Disappointed by your partner
why i say that two reasons because only misunderstanding wont force you break up the relationship,once the misundertanding is happened naturally u will get disappointed it will leads into breaking up.

i think its due to lack of communication and trust...
people live in fear of others taking what they have and this creates problems in their relationship..
some people don't understand or find the reason to fight for a relation to remain strong....
so i believe its all down to not being honest with each other and not sharing their feelings either.....

each others interest starts to change and slowly but surely each other starts to partake in their own thing and they have drifted apart before you know it. or either alcholo or some mood alternating drug is the stepping stone. its not affaires, they dont really exsit today.affairs today is just plain sex girls arent really lesies any more its two girls having sex.

no communication neglect no attention no respect arguing alot not being there for eacother there is no friendship u dont have the same interest no understanding nothing in common no trust there are lies and not spending time together
