Jon Lester has shown the stuff he is made of by giving one determined, gritty, hard-fought pitching performance after another. He is a determined person and a winner. He will win this battle as well, and may well be pitching next season.

Chow!!

Its a treatable type of lymphoma and he's going to be pitching again next season in the majors once he gets slightly better control and stops walking so many people.

He will pitch again, as the cancer is treatable, but he is most definitely out for the season. As are the Sox, much to my dismay.

I hope so he'll be remembered always for that 1-hitter he threw though eight strong innings before jon Papelbon came in to get the save.
