For you my friend I recommend this book it is called "Guide to getting it on" it's by Paul Joannides it pretty good and has a section for you and your problem. Same thing happen to these two when I was in high school. Except they went to the school guidance counselor and got kicked out of school. At the time I made jokes about it but once you are going through it, it's not funny.
There could be many reasons why her period is late. Including the stress of thinking she is pregnant. Since both of you were still clothed at the time I don't think she is pregnant. I am not going to tell you two to stop having sex. Just learn more about being safe. Think about all that this scare has brought to your mind the next time you are getting hot and heavy. Third, did she just have her period or is she just expecting her period? That was vague. If she had it then yes she could have become pregnant if you penetrated her.
