no it doesn't...only the ps2. i have both...i should know cause i tried

HA no..it can hardly play a cd i dont even know if dvd's were out then i dont remember dvds when i got mine. maybe the ps1 but not sure bout that. but no way origional.

cant play dvd's but if you try real hard and get lucky itll play any old vhs you want it to.
