Ok well in a nutshell the parents (usually) protect their young but have no way to feed them. Are the adults new/inexperienced breeders? If so they often eat their young. Also if they are in a high traffic/high stress area [e.g. loud stereo etc] they may do it too. They need peace and quiet.
To raise good numbers of baby angelfish you will want to be raising brine nauplii [freshly hatched brine shrimp] there is NOTHING that grows them better or faster. You can try fry formula powder/liquid foods but nothing will work as well as brine nauplii.
Keep in mind some pairs may never raise their own, while others get it right after a few tries. I usually give them a few chances [unless its a special spawn I truly want fast and I'll take their eggs away from them - but if they are caring for eggs its a good sign]
If you want tips on keeping the adults from eating their babies I'll need more info and you can email me with info about what size tank, temperature, pH, any "stressors" around like other fish in the tank or stereo's etc.

If I were you, I would get a breeding net (you can get one at any pet-store) and put the babies inside. The net is like another tank which you can place in your big tank where the adults are. This way, the babies can see the adults, the adults can see the babies, and you should also buy special food for baby fish...especially since angel fish babies are sooo tiny! Here is what the breeding net looks like in case you dont know what I mean: http://www.aquaticeco.com/images/items/A934_rgb.jpg
Here is a site with some good information: http://www.aquaria.info/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=336
Good Luck!

your need to either remove the parents or the babies, or you could get a breeding trap and put the babies in there that way the parents can stay in the same tank as them, you will also need to feed the babies, you can get a baby fish formular from a good fish store and also if your crush up some flake food they will eat that, you can also give them newly hatched brine shrimp, microworms etc, i hope this helps. good luck.

Place a piece of gauze in the tank, separating the fish, so that the adult fish cannot get at the young. Most breeds of fish do this cannibalistic thing, but when the young are big enough, the gauze can come out.

angel fish look after the eggs by fanning them to keep infection setting in they will discard anybad eggs once they eggs hatch get them out .as the parents will eat them as they want to start another batch of young as soon as they can . you can buy a net cage that floats in the tank for a couple of pound these are effective and saves putting the young under any stress as they are in the same water they were born in and keeps them out of the parent fish's reach . while your in the shop ask about liquid feed for your baby fish you give them a couple of drops as a time and makes feeding them easier

what you should do is make a tank separate for the adults after they have the babies remove the parents.get food specially made for young fry.If you still are not able to do this then consult a angel fish breeder.

The parents need to be removed immediately and you feed the fry with food made formulated for fry.
