what type of illnesses would they be more suceptable of contracting??
(baring in mind that both conditions are kept in check)

Diabetes, Heart conditions, Stroke, Kidney or Liver problems.
The above are if the blood pressure and high cholesterol and not managed well and medication is not used.

However, if you begin eating well, exercising, and are compliant with your medications, you should be able to manage these issues without the above conditions.
