my parents also refuse to call exterminators. any advice? the fricken thing won't budge!

awwwwww , thats cute lol. well ,if you wanna get it outta ur house , u have to call a specialist to get it out of ur ouse , but DO NOT THINK OF EXTERMINATING IT , because there an endangered species plus , dont hit it or it mite break its wing awwwww. ok so look in the yellow pages or go to www.yell.com ok bye x

Well if your parents don't want to call an exterminator, then you could try getting rid of it yourself. Go to a local pest control center, and buy a trap or cage of some sort.

You'd better tell your parents that bats can carry rabies, and you will get him out from under your bed, and put it under their bed. In other words, this is a dangerous thing to let go, and not get rid of him.

try getting the bat in a position or positioning yourself under your bed so you can throw a cloth over it..preferably a dark cloth...washcloth, towel, etc.
Also wear gloves when you do it...once the bat is covered, it'll be difficult for it to fly. You carefully grab it, and let it loose outside the window or house.

Call the humane society or animal control. They will remove it and release it back.
I can't believe your parents won't do anything about it!! Make them sleep in your room until it's removed! That's crazy! But, then again.. I am only hearing your side of the story.

shine a bright light under the bed cuz they h8 light.then take a net and try to catch it when it comes out,OR open the window until it flys out

the only proven way is to use a very loud drum or something you can bang on. bats are blind and are confused and annoyed by loud noises. Open the window and start banging untill u get rid of it. believe me it works!

keep in mind, they need to eat.
so every afternoon bats go out to eat.and just before dawn they come back.
you have to time it just right, so when he goes out you close the windows.
under your responsability.
