Have you ever even been to NYC? Lots of young people feel like they should live there because it looks so great on TV. Compared to living in England, NYC would kick your azz. I love the city, but at the heart of it are rude, unforgiving people and a pace of life that is entirely too fast. And as for the proper manners you learn in England, you can throw those out the window. No manners needed in NYC.

I hope that love affair includes a rich sugar daddy? NYC is the most expensive place to live in the USA.

It is a wonderful place, like London only a little more dodgy. A little darker, more romantic and just like nowhere else on earth.

I believe it is the presence of the arts. It raises the intelligence and class of a city all on its own merit. It has changed too after 911. Now, it is a bit strange to walk through in lieu of feeling... but it is still and always will be the best City in the world!

Arrange a visit!

I do identify with your fondness for New York. I've been living here for nearly 40 years and while I've visited all over the United States and many countries in Europe (Including England!) I tend to think along the lines of Cole Porter's song "Take Me Back To Manhattan, " which runs, in part:

"The more I travel
Across the gravel
The more I sail the sea
The more I seem convinced of the fact
New York's the town for me."

Have you been there? If not maybe, since NYC been glamorized so much that's why you feel like you belong there.
If you've been, and are in love with it, I completely understand. I have a love affair with Cuba. Forget the political communist bullsh*t, I went a couple of years ago and felt like: "Hello, I'm home!". I wish someday I'll be able to live there, with that laissez-faire, the sea and the warmth, the beat, the sensuality and the beautiful people (inside and out)

Well, if you want to live here, you'll need a hell of a lot of money.
It's the most expensive city to live in in the United States.

But now, after I looked at a chart I don't think that you'll have a problem since London beats us by 5 spots. I think you'll be welcome =]

I hate how people complain about noise. I live in New York City, it's 1pm, and here I am typing this while I'm practically in silence. All I hear is the keyboard and my tv which is in the OTHER room.

America is cool. New York is a rough place to live though and expensive. Just enjoy your time where you are on move when your older.
