demons have always been symbollic with strife and arbitrary behavior. We always fight our demons because the demons symbolize things about our own selves we abhore.
There are a number of persons the world over who look at the demon with a kind of study. Whether these people believe demons exist as a physical depiction of something from another world or as a form of our inner thoughts, these demons are obsticles in our lives. The more to struggle to "fight" the demon the more powerful they become, that can be said about any enemy or obsticle.

I believe that we fight our demons because we don't want to live a restricted life. I believe that if we do not fight our demons that we won't do a lot of things and therefore miss a lot of life. Those people who do not fight their demons live a ghetto lifestyle and do not get anywhere. So you just need to face face whatever it is and get it over with. The longer you take to face these demons, the harder it will be.

First, le't try to define "Demons". In my case, I would consider my demons, fears, the thought of the unknown. Things that frighten us or make us feel uncomfortable. The reason that we fight our "demons" is to empower us to accomplish any goal that we choose. Another definition, I guess, for "Demons" are obstacles. Once you overcome an obstacle, it becomes a stepping stone for other "Demons". I see it as life lessons learned when you can look your "demons" in the face and take the bull by the horns. I know that I feel better overall when I have overcome "My Demons". :-)

We fight our demons because they either make us feel down,or because they remind us of parts of ourselves that we don't want to acknowledge, lest we realise that we are in fact all only a few steps away from the "bad" people we see on the news for heinous crimes. Then we would have to eventually admit that these "animals" are human too. Then we would end up finding a solution. That would involve admitting we were wrong. It will always be like this.

Because even the worst of us has some little bit of good within. And the best of us has at least a little bit of bad. It is the function of our better angels to shout down our demons whenever possible, so as not to lose out to them for all time.

I think for the integrity of the psyche.
I dont think that we were born with demons look at most babies they sleep quite well for a lot of the tiem and look pretty clear and open. So I think that we need to fight them so that we can be clear about who we really are.
I think you can only meet yourself when the fears are chased away and you see what is left..

Well, the term "demons" implies that those aspects of one's personality which are negative, so if we gave in to our demons, we wouldn't be in very good shape spiritually, mentally or physically.
