Perhaps nobody does so intentionally. Perhaps they don't know about your feelings. That's how I am trying to convince myself.

This is a darned good question, particularly because it gives us the opportunity to look at the real source of our pain and take responsibility for our choices.
The truth is - no one else can break our hearts; rather, our hearts break because OUR expectations are not met. So, the real source of our pain is our attachment to our expectations - what we expect another to do or not do (in romantic love, usually preceded by the phrase, "if you love me."
I do not suggest that we release ALL expectations. I do however suggest that we allow the truth about others to shine before us. In this way, we can deal with each according to knowledge of each one's modus operendus (sp?). This really does cut back on pain due to unrealistic expectations and leaves a whole lot of energy to direct toward living life in joy.

They dont always mean to...sometimes it just happens....its the sad side of love. There´s this verse from a song called "The Glory Of Love" that goes something like:

"You've got to give a little, take a little
And let your poor heart break a little
That's the story of,
That's the glory of love."

So i guess, its true, its just part of the story of love. It hurts, but when you do find the right person for you, it all would have been worth it. Hope this helps. I wish you the best of luck with everything. :)

I think most times people break their own hearts with unrealistic expectations, or depending on others for their happiness. But, sometimes there are people who don't care about hurting others, and that's just life, I guess.

Maybe to make them realize that love is not the most perfect thing in life. And that love is a bliss that one can lose like any other bliss, so the person should not forget the generosity of the Giver who gave you this experience when you lived in your own "universe" with your fantasies about your lover during your "love period".

Love is a bliss but it is also a sin, if not done in the right way!

No one breaks others heart since everyone has their own, but it breaks as it's very fragile in nature.

"...Oh tell me why do lovers always drift apart
The day we met, the world was right
Now I'm crying every night
Why do people break each others hearts?"

I don't think most people mean to do this. I think people just wind up growing apart and fall out of love. It's better to tell someone that it's over than to continue living a lie.

if they don't mean to hurt you, they just aren't happy, and you can't blame them for that. If they do mean to do it, it's because it makes them feel like they are better than you, but no bad deed goes unpunished forever... not a single one
